Found in warm parts of the Eastern Hemisphere.

Small graceful evergreen shrub up to 32
m (12 ft).
Needle-like leaves, reddish stems, small yellow flowers, red berries take two
to three years to ripen.
Often found growing in old gardens or can be cultivated.
Use of berries which contain valuable oils, to stimulate appetite, and dissolve
mucus.
Culinary use in making conserve, or for tea. Also in flavouring gin and liqueurs.
